What an experience an ultrasound is, let me tell you.
Our new little one was asleep when the test started, but woke up about halfway through and gave his/her Mommy and I quite a show!
We got to see the little one squirm around, open and close it's mouth, stretch out it's legs, put it's arms over it's head, turn over, look right at the camera (see above), and much more!
We saw close ups of the ribs, spine, knees, leg bones, feet, fingers, arms, heart, brain... there was only one key piece of the anatomy we asked them to avoid showing us - have to keep the mystery alive!
According to Sue this one is a much more active baby than Jackson was, but she still has no instinct about the gender... after seeing the scan though I'm thinking it's a boy.
My reasoning, well, there was one shot close up of the shoulder and arm which showed well defined and bulky musculature... something that both my wife and my own better judgment claim is not even physically possible, yet all the same, an instinct is an instinct.
